On November 13, the Transport and Logistics Section of Confindustria Bari and BAT hosted a meeting to present the new EasyRailFreight platform, developed by RFI – Rete Ferroviaria Italiana: a system that connects supply and demand for freight transport services, completely free of charge.
The goal is to integrate the services of various operators to promote intermodality, enhance the competitiveness of manufacturing and logistics companies, and reduce environmental impact.
Speakers included:
- Giuseppe Totorizzo, President of the Transport Section of Confindustria Bari and BAT
- Roberto Laghezza, Head of Infrastructure Development – Central Southern Adriatic Area, RFI
- Francesco Lugli, Head of Multimodal Logistics Planning and Development, RFI
- Alessio Galuppi, Multimodal Logistics Processes and Digitalization, RFI
The event provided an opportunity to introduce the platform to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a key pillar of the Italian economy. SMEs represent the majority of businesses in the country and play a crucial role in employment, innovation, and local development.
