On 26 March, Giulia Costagli, Francesco Lugli and Alessio Galuppi represented EasyRailFreight at the fifth edition of “Economia Pulita” (Clean Economy), the international conference held in Rome at the European Parliament headquarters. The event brought together institutions, businesses, universities, and stakeholders to explore sustainable solutions and innovative development models.
EasyRailFreight at the Heart of the Green Transition

During the conference, EasyRailFreight reaffirmed its role in supporting the modal shift towards rail, facilitating the connection between supply and demand through a digital platform that promotes integrated, efficient, and low-emission freight transport. The project aligns with the evolving logistics paradigm, which is increasingly focused on ecological and digital transformation.
The 2025 edition of Clean Economy centered on the transformation of logistics in response to new European regulations, which redefine sustainability and supply chain management. The logistics sector is now called to reduce environmental impact across the value chain—from freight transport to waste management and recycling.
New Opportunities for Sustainable Logistics
Recent EU and national policies, aimed at decarbonisation and circular economy models, offer concrete opportunities to rethink production and distribution processes. Rail transport, digital traceability systems, and public-private partnerships are among the key solutions being promoted.
The event served as an important platform for dialogue and networking among companies, institutions, and logistics operators, and offered a valuable opportunity to present the EasyRailFreight platform as a concrete, innovative, and sustainable tool for the future of intermodal transport.
